Key Responsibilities
- Financial Modeling & Forecasting: Build, maintain, and update 3-statement models, discounted cash flow (DCF) analyses, and other models to predict business scenarios and financial performance.
- Analysis & Reporting: Examine, interpret, and report on financial data, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Decision Support: Provide actionable insights, identify trends, and make recommendations to management to enhance profitability and cost-efficiency.
- Budgeting & Planning: Collaborate with departments to assist in the budgeting, forecasting, and operational planning process.
- Market & Investment Research: Study economic trends, industry developments, and evaluate potential investments, such as stocks or bonds.
- Variance Analysis: Compare actual results against forecasts and budgets to analyze performance and explain discrepancies.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Technical Proficiency: Expert-level skills in Microsoft Excel (modeling, vlookups, pivot tables) and experience with financial software (e.g., ERP systems, BI tools).
- Analytical Abilities: Strong proficiency in financial analysis, valuation methods, and data mining.
- Communication: Ability to present complex financial data to non-finance stakeholders and management.
- Education: A bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field.
- Experience: Previous experience in corporate finance, investment banking, or accounting is frequently required.
- Certifications: CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) or CPA (Certified Public Accountant) designations are highly valued.
